Sam and I have a lot of fun together. Pity is we both have very bad memories. So our fun adventures are often forgotten. Solution=Blogging! I know, I know I should have started this when we first got engaged. But as most people know I am the queen of procrastination, and I had to keep up my rep right?
Adventure #1- California!
Every summer for the last 7 years I would hear Sam talk about the infamous Pebble Beach Vacation. Of course I was a bit jealous I’ve barely been in Utah’s surrounding states….so imagine my excitement when I got to go this year! We got there on June 29 after a 14 hour drive. The home we got to stay in was amazing! The backyard is pebble beach golf course, we were a 5 minute walk from the beach and we had the prettiest view. Our first day there Maddie, Sean, Sam and I went to the beach. This was my first time at the beach! It was incredible, so much better than I ever could have imagined.

Over the next couple days we went and explored the wharf, Sam went golfing and I went shopping. We ate out, played risk, went on walks and explored the shops at Carmel.
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and I saw my first shark! (It was a small one, but it was still cool) We got to see these amazing birds that dive in the water for minutes at a time to get food. We saw huge sea turtles, tuna, seahorses and this weird looking fish....
I think it’s called a sunfish, this thing was huge.
On the last day Sam and I went on a hike with Dane and Erica. This was probably my favorite day, I love hiking! It was a very long hike, but an easy one. We played in the tide pools and poked at crabs. We hiked up to a whaling home and got to see whale bones and learn about the history of the park.
Over all it was an amazing vacation! I got to know Sam’s family a lot better! They are such wonderful people and I feel so lucky to have married into such a great family. I love them all and am so grateful for all they do for Sam and I.
